MARC Cars launches new car for 2022 SeasonWritten on the 15 October 2021 by MARC Cars Australia Gold Coast based racing organisation and vehicle manufacturer MARC Cars Australia today confirmed the expansion of their fleet with the introduction of the new MARC GT. The team will debut the new car in 2022 for the MARC Cars Championship with AMRS. MARC Cars Australia has been working in partnership with PACE Innovations to design a new generation MARC car that is a follow on from the successful MARC Focus & MARC Mazda chassis’. Geoff Taunton, owner of MARC Cars Australia says “The MARC Focus and Mazda have both been such a successful car for the MARC Cars team and it was a key point for the design brief that we didn’t lose the identity of the previous MARC cars in this new design.” “Working with PACE Innovations whom have designed our previous MARC Focus / Mazda & MARC II V8, they immediately understood the direction this car needed to go - so we know the quality and finish will be to the highest standard inline with our other models” Said Taunton The MARC GT will continue to run an Albins ST6 Transaxle with Paddle Shift, Brembo brake package, PACE Innovations modular upright system but will introduce the GM LS3 engine to this model instead of the previous Coyote 5.0L V8. The new GT body style will be made up of custom moulded composite material. This Australian designed and built MARC car will continue to combine the highest safety standards on par with previous models and a combination of affordability and performance for owners & drivers. The team is working to deliver the first 3 chassis’ on the grid for the start of their one make series – the MARC Cars Championship – which will debut on the AMRS calendar for 2022. Testing of the prototype will begin early 2022.
