2022 MARC Cars Australia Race Series Calendar Released

The highly anticipated launch of MARC Cars' stand-alone category within the Australian Motor Racing Series (AMRS) in 2022 finally has an official schedule for drivers and fans to start getting excited about. The AMRS series will run a six-round season next year with events across four different states.

A day-night race at Sydney Motorsport Park will kick off the 2022 season featuring the second edition of the Super GT 4Hour.

The AMRS calendar has been signed off with the first round in South Australia at The Bend Motorsport Park in April, then off to Victoria for the Queen's Birthday long weekend of racing at Winton Motor Raceway in June.

Up to sunny Queensland in August for a round at Queensland Raceway, then back to Syndey Motorsport Park for another long weekend of racing for Labour day in October. The season comes to a close with the finale back in Victoria at Winton Motor Raceway in November. 

To add to the excitement of being awarded their own stand-alone AMRS category in 2022, MARC I Cars have just been granted a start on the grid for the International Endurance Race - the Bathurst 12 Hour, which is scheduled for February 25th-27th. Both the MARC I & MARC II cars will compete in this event, which is expected to be televised to millions of Australian and international viewers.

MARC Cars Team Manager, Alyson Fradgley is excited about what lies ahead for their Gold Coast-based race car manufacturing business.

"Not only is this a great reward for all the hard work our team has put in over the past 18 months, but it is also going to put the Gold Coast on the international map for being able to produce some of the most competitive endurance cars in the world," Fradgley explained.

Based out of their Nerang factory, MARC Cars currently manufactures two models - MARC I and MARC II, with a third car about to be released in early 2022 - the MARC GT.
